Common Questions

How do I upgrade to Premium?

You must be signed in before you can subscribe to the premium plan. Once signed in, visit your dashboard to find a link to upgrade your account.

How are points calculated?

Points are calculated based the length of the word, plus any bonuses.

Base Score

Each letter in the word is worth 1 pointExample: "cat" = 3 points

Time Bonus (0-10 points)

  • Expected time = max(word length x 1, 5) seconds
  • Bonus multiplier = expected time ÷ actual time (max 2x)
  • Time bonus = word length x multiplier
  • No bonus if time > 3x expected time
  • Bonus capped at 10 points

Flipped Bonus (20 points)

  • Solve a word in flipped mode for an extra 20 points

Blind Bonus (30 points)

  • Solve a word in blind mode for an extra 30 points

Daily Streak Bonus

+100 points for maintaining a daily streak

Note: Streak bonus only awarded once per day

Example Calculation

5-letter word completed in 4 seconds:

  • Base Score: 5 points
  • Time Bonus: 6 points (5 x 1.25, capped at 10)
  • Streak Bonus: +100 points (if first game of day)
  • Total: 111 points

How do I report an incorrect word or definition?

Please email us with the word and the issue you've found. We'll review and correct any errors promptly.
